    Rifle to Smoothie

    I got a Traditions 50 "hawken" from a pawn shop for $50, had a ball stuck 2/3 down barrel, pulled ball big rust spot, put 50grit sand paper on a rod and sanded it down. very faint lands left, will shoot PRB still well, but it is a cotton tail killing machine with #6 and 40gr 3f.

    I was just looking at a single shot 20ga i have and thought of the sleeve thing, a portion of barrel is a good thought.

    54 smoothbore final bore size?

    Ok I am thinking of doing the same thing, where are you getting a reamer, and a long shaft to get all the way to the bottom? is this a hand reamer job or can I use a variable speed drill. Oh I am very excited about this project.

    Your muzzleloader activity in 2006 ??

    Stripped the modern blue and varnish off my T/C Hawkin and browned the barrel, hand rubbed linseed oil into the stock, looking for a new rear sight now. Built a new knife dug out the 62 cal fowler I started two years ago and got back to work on it.
