slixshot nipples are included in the purchase of the Longhunt pistol, plus the cost of the springs. about a $120-$150 value Again. Longhunt Sells the Taylor Uberti, which is $100 more than the regular. better finishing. add the parts and it's $550. Total price is $640, so all the...

oh, besides all the stuff they did which was, i also got anti-cap jamming sytem, which is like a little wall just behind the cylinder. it looks authentic, does not look like it was an add-on. they did a good job and said that was their biggest seller. i saw a few videos on anti cap suck...

Want to purchase an Uberti 1851 Navy, but have some questions

Want to purchase an Uberti 1851 Navy, but have some questions

So, i bought the gun from Long Hunter's. it showed up and was the wrong model. they sent me a Colt London. I ordered the Navy Brass. Jim @ longhunt was very apologetic and paid to have it picked up and said they would start working on the brass and would ship it as soon as they got the...

Want to purchase an Uberti 1851 Navy, but have some questions

i meant $1600 total. not $1600 in modifications. $800 in custom parts. so regarding the .380 bores, i get that the balls could move with recoil. and i guess it makes sense that if you use .375 ball, they will essentially be "squished" down into a tight fit that seals the chamber with a lead...

Want to purchase an Uberti 1851 Navy, but have some questions

so, i reread the longshoot descriptions of gunsmithing labor offer and involved, and it seems one of the .major issues is the imcorrect diameter in the cylinders. Why.doesnt Uberti correct this flaw? Ot was correct in the original colts i believe, but just leads to all these loading...

Lee. Does that mean you prefer pietta over Uberti? I was under the impression that it was an inferior build (from my online research. Since your a veteran shooter, ill asl you the same ball question. .375 or .380 diameter? Do you cast yourself or buy. If you cast, what press do you use. If...

Want to purchase an Uberti 1851 Navy, but have some questions

Mike. Can you tell me what brand and size canonical you use. Perhaps give me a link? So, also in the great. 375 bs .380 diameter ball debate, where do you stand? Seems like casting your own would take.forever. i have not seen a mold that makes more than 2 rounds. Not thrilled about way...

Want to purchase an Uberti 1851 Navy, but have some questions

i did a lot of reading on the "crown" debate. a crown of any degree will not consistanly fire the same gas pattern each shot, so each shot is different. the only question is, even though each shot is different, does your group tighten up at all with the crown than without it.....even just, say...
