Can you see what I'm doing wrong?

Practice makes habit, perfect practice makes perfect.

    Ballistol is top notch... not!

I use it on my flintlocks, only because I don’t have a better way of cleaning a pinned barrel. I find it works well but the fumes cause me to cough and if I handle it without gloves I get sore, red cracked hands. Figure it cannot be good for me long term. I store my guns with barricade and it...

Rocks are more reliable than caps

I wonder if threads like this are why Spence, and many other big contributors I’ve read about from days past are no longer here.

I would respectfully disagree that they don’t control what’s on their own YouTube channel which is our only access to it. If Steve Rinella can put his entire library on YouTube they can put a few episodes of this show.

I’ve used mostly olive oil but I was thinking of just using spit for this gun. That brings me to the purpose of lube. Is it just...

I didn’t enjoy the first third of blood and thunder, constant jumping around in time and space. It got better from there however. Empire of the summer moon is a great read on opening of the west in southern parts of the US. Focuses on Comanche.

yeah I did see that and they haven’t posted the new one. Hope they don’t just stop publishing them. The channel isn’t available in my country so I can’t view them otherwise

No wiping or swabbing he said!

I use straight olive oil as a patch lube which I thought would be fine.

No wiping or swabbing he said!

Maybe I’m doing something wrong (entirely possible) but a couple of my guns are bears to load after 2 or 3 shots without swabbing. What could be causing the issue?
