If you have a Rifle Shoppe .75 hand gonne

A different model, but still a 75-cal hand gonne barrel from TRS. See this post, as @Griz44Mag uses 0.735” balls. https://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/threads/building-the-rifle-shops-hakenbusche-kit.120710/

2nd time at the range with Drachenfeuer

Oh jeeze … you’ll never get a reply, best to call them, only Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Just keep calling, do not … do not leave a message. You will never get a reply, at least from the experience of many here. With all that said, I agree .. Jane is SUPER … when you can get through...

2nd time at the range with Drachenfeuer

Haha, jysus no need to bow to me, but keep in mind that TRS might be out of them and it could take a LONG while to get them. The TRS hand gonnes are a great option and their 62-cal and 75-cal models are what I actually own! Add your own tiller and you're ready to Drachenfeuer on your own!

Odd results; bench vs. offhand shooting

You missed the point, we are not comparing the sights on what you are calling a bench rest rifle versus those on a hunting or target longrifle. The original poster was asking about the difference between shooting a longrifle from a bench versus shooting the SAME rifle offhand … two entirely...

    Mail broken parts by UPS

I avoid UPS at all costs … and have never had an issue shipping USPS Priority, for about ~50 muzzleloader arms sales and 100+ of small accessory sales. But I now use USPS Ground Advantage exclusively, not only do the co$ts difference, but I am finding that things are shipping FASTER! You may...

    Fusil De Chasse Style Rifle

Well, a FdC by definition would have been a 62-caliber, so while cool … it is in reality nothing but a fantasy piece …

Odd results; bench vs. offhand shooting

FWIW I've seen poor bench shooting technique ruin more good rifles and/or shooter's potential! To mimic offhand results, i find that sitting upright, but leaning back against a post, keeps my upper body alignmet similar to my offhand position and that's how I sight in, or fine tune a load. I...

    Found my old Handgonne

Odd results; bench vs. offhand shooting

Exactly what @dave951 says, I too was going to bet it was how the barrel was supported. Harmonics can play BIG havoc with bench shooting. If bench testing a BP arm, I don't support the weight of the fored/barrel on bags, but like someone else mentioned, I'll use tall sandbags and place my...
