    20 ga flint under $1000?

Rumor has it that Kibler Rifles will be releasing a flinlock fowler kit (I expect 20 gauge) in the future. It might cost a little more but WELL worth what you pay.. Start rat-holing the money!

    1806 Baker Rifle Reproduction

They don't assemble them or any rifles any longer, but offer the parts set for the customer to build or have built for them.

    Just my Kibler pics

Fully agree Ohiohawkeye! I built one, came out beautifully! I elected to do minimal carving. One can easily make a $1000.00 rifle look like a $300.00 !

Great job!! Most were not real fancy. Fancy=expensive even back then. Most common rifles were carved-on by their owners..

When hog hunting dont go as planned with video

They aren't game animals much less native species. No restrictions for hogs. They are an invasive species/pests. You will need a Texas hunting license here if you aren't hunting for a land owner's pest control...

    Percussion caps in period

Just because the technology existed doesn't mean it was available. An example in LED TV's...the technology was around as early as 1978, but not commercially affordable much less available.

    Percussion caps in period

Yep, agreed! About 1840 onward the caplock was more common out west with river trade, etc. increasing..prior to that it was easier to obtain flint than a chance resupply of caps. Bear in mind that you can get flint wet, but not caps..
