The government. With a flint gun I can make my own bullets and powder and keep shooting without government interferance. I don't care if I shoot another metalic cartridge gun again. I replaced my "evil AR15 spray ther entire world blow you lung out of your body" gun with something that...
I did find a place that has them in stock and on "sale" for $385 so I bought one. I am still looking for a second one because eventually I want a pair. Now that I have a flintlock on the way I might consider a cap Trapper if the price is right but a second flint gun would be awesome.
I've been looking for a pattern also for my Remington New army. I'm left handed so the standard flap holster works for me but I want a cross draw because I sit a lot and it's a big gun. I guess the main issue is the design of the belt hanger on the back so it will sit at the correct angle...
Ballistol works great on sunburns and minor cuts. If I get a sunburn or other outdoor related skin irritation I just rub on Ballistol for instant relief. I also use it on all my BP stuff.
Thanks for the replies. The broken one that I is brass colored and since I bought 2 of these guns I would prefer they match but if I can't find a match or can't repair this one I will go with what I can find. Harleynut if you find one I would appreciate it if you let me know. Thanks again all.
I have a CVA Kentucky pistol kit with a broken trigger guard. Looking for a replacement. The previous owner tried to tighten it down without fitting the wood properly and it snaped at the rear screw hole. I guess I could superglue it or find someone that could braze it. I am open to suggestions.
OK I think I figured it out. It looks like the "fly cover plate" (plate with 3 screws) is bent allowing the fly to ride up and jam. For some reason this only seems happens when it is in the gun. After it happens I pull the lock and the fly is jammed between the plate and #12 what ever that is...
I have a never fired Lyman Great Plains rifle that is not working properly. If I pull the set (back) trigger the hammer falls to the half cock position when I pull the front trigger. If I just pull the front trigger without pulling the set trigger the hammer falls all the way. I've cleaned...
Thank you for the reply. Now that I know what it is I may need to buy one. I bought an old cap gun that came with a ball in the barrel and the barrel is rusty so I may need something like that to try to get the ball out. I'm going to clean out as much rust as I can before I try to pull the ball.
