I've been shooting and doing living history since the early 90's.Having desired a nice rifle, but not able to pay the prices for "custom" guns, I decided to learn how to make one.I started with a blank piece of maple and built my "test rifle"(.40cal Lancaster for my wife).I then built a left hand .50, Early Lancaster for myself with a few nice touches.I then built a matched set of .50 cal pistols for my twin and I. After a few years of not building anything I had the itch to build something else which ended up being a .54 caliberJim Chambers early Lancaster and then I built a .45 Lancaster for my father in law .
