    probably bringing up the CVA mt rifle, which does have a smaller lock, which ended up being traditions Mt rifle. just call traditions and order one direct. I have called them several times and bought directly from them. your rifle is the new version

    just a thought, did you have the barrel out of the stock, and could have the ramrod retainer spring have gotten flipped. this has happen to me.

    it may depend upon where you are from. here in Pa. flintlock is much more popular, (Because) our flintlock season is just that a FLINTLOCK SEASON. Open sights only, and a rock in your lock.

    Traditions Kentucky?

    have a friend who has been shooting a Traditions Kentucky, for about 15 years now, and has done virtually nothing to his lock, other than keep it clean, and has no problems with it. as far as accuracy, he has won a number of matches with it.

    Slight puzzle

    by the post he state .494 rb. maybe going to a .490 rb and a thicker patch. to get the same thickness of rb and patch combination he is getting his groups with. may not not work as well but its a thought.
