    Ballistol.............

    I use Ballistol 1-5 parts water for cleaning and also for a range patch lube. There are much better rust protectants out there. I dont trust a lubricant that can be cut with water as a rust preventative.

    Ive killed deer with No excuses conicals. I shot a medium sized buck at 125 yards with a .50 cal 460 grain No Excuses over 110 grains FFG Goex. Slug broke both front scapulas and exited. DRT.     Dont know where you got those velocity numbers. But i have chronoed my Stith .58 Hawken at 1680-1710 with 100grains Swiss 2F and 1592-16118 with 110 2F Goex . Plenty flat shooting for 100yards.
