I think the two whingerdangers are from torn patches. 16 of the 18 look good. All would be deer killers at my hunting ranges.
Using a six o'clock hold on the black.
70 grains 3F Schuetzen, .530 ball, .022 canvas patch with bore butter.

Thanks for showing us the design anomaly that makes these CVA's so hard to de-breech. How hard to remove the drum? Glad you got it, please keep us posted.

I think CVA did a run of these rifles around 1988-90 that were much up-priced. They'd been discontinued for a few years. Wonder if this barrel would be from one of those.
I use bore butter until I run out. I have tons of bear fat and bees wax here, I am sure I could make my own stuff. I worry about a lubed wad dampening the powder charge over extended loaded periods.
