Returning to Cap & Ball revolvers

I have 2 1858 Remington reproductions one stainless and one blue with steel frame. I have always shot 30 grain of fff and a felt wad. Never had any trouble and they still shoot great. They are both Pietta's 44 cal.

Why are or aren't you an NMLRA member?

I have been a member of the NRA sense the mid 70's and will remain a member until I die. I feel that if the older members quit the NRA will go under like so many other organizations. That being said if we don't stand with the NRA it will surly fold up.

    Percussion storage question?

I have always just left my cap lock with hammer down and the gun placed in a gun cabinet with my other guns never worried about plugging the bore. None of my other guns ever had a bore problem nor did my cap lock.

    Carrying C&B Supplies Historically?

I have a Remington revolver and I carry extra cylinders for it when I am out hunting. It beats carrying a lot of extra supplies with me when I am walking around.
