Some of my favorite cap & ball holsters
While we are on the subject of holsters, This may sound like a dumb question,when ordering a cross-draw holster it always hangs me up when I get to the part of the order form that asks right or left :hmm: I assume if you order a "cross-draw" version and were right handed it would be on your left... -

New Project - Hell on Wheels Griswold
Just got through watching the 2nd season on Netflix! Brass frame city! Will have to go back and review but, it seems the "Rebs" who attack the town are all carrying brass frame 1860's but when they are killed and on display they have brass frame Navy's? :idunno: Dang prop guys! -

1851 Fantasy Frame Navy
Theoretically...The frame on an 1851 Colt Navy in .44 cal is really a 1860 with a Navy barrel or front end assembly right? So would an 1860 barrel fit on my frame if it was made by the same manufacturer :hmm: -

You could also try some Slix-Shot nipples, they seem to cure some of the Colt problem. -

Pietta, Uberti or Pedersoli?
May be a little off topic, but I believe that some of these importers do have "exclusive" rights to some of the "one-off" models offered by the manufacturers i.e. the 1860 Army Snub-Nose by Pietta, imported only by EMF. :idunno: -

Pietta model 1858
Got mine last year for that price around July 4 Holiday Sale. (Pietta). I was very impressed with the fit, finish and function on mine. I was a little skeptical about the Pietta though, the last one I bought (1860 Army)about 20 years ago, was just terrible to look at, kinda like those knives... -

EIG 1851 Brasser
I have what appears to be the letter "B" inside of the letter "C" or possibly "G" on the bottom strap of the grip frame alongside "EIG" and "Italy"? This symbol is not on the list? Thanks for the info Guys!....1969...The year I was born :) -

EIG 1851 Brasser
O.K. the capital letters are PN and there is also a shield with a star above it. Try as I may I cant make out whats in the shield, perhaps a crossbow? Also Roman "XXV". Star inside a circle or wreath is also above the PN. Thanks for any help! My Buddy said the frame swaps out with the one on his... -

CVA Mountain Pistol On the range
I have a CVA Colonial pistol kit sitting in the original box on top of my gunsafe. A friend gave it to me a while back. His Dad tried to build it back in the 70's or 80's and made some terrible mistakes with his new Dremel. Probably going to need a new stock....only reason I haven't fooled with... -

Just picked up an 1851 Navy brass frame from a co-worker today for $60.00. Its in excellent condition. I know that EIG is/was the importer and says made in Italy. Aside from the proof marks all over it, there is no manufacturer's name. Im not too saavy at posting pics. Does anybody know anything... -
