    Love This Gun

Ed, I thought it helped my off hand shooting. I feel that it balanced it out perfectly, at least for me. Now that you have added that sight, you should be good to go. Anthony

    Muzzleloader No Longer On Newstands

I saw on internet (FB) and there was a pole asking if a digital copy were offered who would be interested. Anthony

    2024/2025 Squirrel Hunting Thread...........

I’ve used Goex and Grafs both at 30 grains and Pyrodex at around 20 grains. Mine really likes the 30 grains. interesting how different barrels like different loads and such. Anthony

    How loud?

Im shooting 30 grains out of mine. What I hear the most is the snap of the cap more than anything. Kinda reminds me of a CCI stinger round. Anthony

    Traditions Crockett kit thoughts?

I fell that it does. I shoot a lot more off hand than I do bench. From the seat of the pants/ gut feeling I think it stabilizes it. And I think it adds to the looks as well. It wasn’t to spendy. I ordered it through October Country. Anthony

    Traditions Crockett kit thoughts?

I’ve had my Crockett for over a year now and have shot the whizz out of it. It isn’t a kit, but I have found the fit and finish to be pretty good. Any dings or scratches have been made by me. I agree with Ed on the ram rod It isn’t the best. I upgraded mine to a solid brass one. I didn’t...

How tight to patch a ball

Ed and I shoot nearly the exact combination in our Crockett rifles. One difference is I shoot just a few more grains of powder. We’ve talked at length about our set ups. My accuracy is spot on. I don’t need to use a short starter until maybe my 10th or 11th shot and then it’s not much. Mine...

    Underhammer alert! Doctor Gorning's design

Very interesting. I think it is a very clever design. I’ll get one someday. Anthony

    Underhammer alert! Doctor Gorning's design

So, my ignorance here. Why would Underhammer rifles be upsetting? Not trying to kick a hornets nest or anything. I myself have wanted one for a while. Anthony

    2024 Turkey Hunting

You’ll like it. There will be lots to take in. So, hopefully that will not be your last time. I live about four hours to the east. If you are familiar with drag racing, I’m not far from Bristol Motor Speedway. We typically make the trek to Nashville at least 4-5 times a year. Anthony

    2024 Turkey Hunting

I’ll be down there that same weekend, but not for the sci convention. My wife and I are going to take in a concert down at the Bridgestone arena. I hope to make a long weekend or day trip to the NWTF a few weeks after. That’s always the same week or weekend of my wife’s birthday. She’s not...

    2024 Turkey Hunting

Turkey hunting has always been a real favorite of mine. There is something special about chasing those ol Toms around the mountains. A gobbling Tom always gets the blood flowing, at least for me. I’ve been outsmarted by a Turkey more than I would like to admit. However, I’ve been blessed to...

    Thoughts and input

The next time I’m down that way I’ll swing in to see. I think I’m the only person to handle it in that time. I think that I had mentioned that I have been looking at it for over a year; by that, I meant that I was surprised to still see it there because I don’t make it on that end of town very...
