Read that someone was using card bored cards cut from cereal box between powder and bullet. I want to make a cutter to try this. What diameter should I aim to cut for a 50? Don't you want the card to be a little larger then bore size? What type of felt do you cut for a felt wad. Seems felt...
I was on the rifle Team at my high school. The varsity started the teaching the new shooters. I found Girls had way less bad habits that needed to be broke and listened better. So the really had a head start on someone that had been shooting cans for a few years.
I took some pics. And found this vid on Youtube. At 2 minutes I wonder if this is why mine has no markings.
The guy in the video said Ethen Allen sent some to there furniture stores for display and those didnt have any markings.
Just got a strange Mowrey off a auction sight. Its .45 caliber but you would not get that off the barrel. There is NO writing on the barrel at all. Or anywhere else on the gun for that matter. Does anyone know what thread is used on the mowrey nipples?
No I dont think a aluminum breach plug would be a good idea. What I mean would be like a piece of all thread that is a breach plug on one end and screwed into the reciever on the other. But as I type this I am starting to think this would not work. The nipple would be threaded in to aluminum...
On the Brass Mowrey rifle is the breach plug steel and threaded into the action or a brass part of the action? Thank you in advance for the answer. Thinking about making a mowrey out of aluminum just because i can cast that. Though i am sure a aluminum breach plug would be no good.
