Pedersoli ball mold - "Nominal" size ?
YES. You hit the nail on the head. I'm a tool and die maker. Spent 35 plus years in die cast and plastic mold industry. Lead if cast from steel mold blocks, shrinks approximately. 005 to the inch shink rate. That means if you want to cast an exact 1 inch dia ball, the cavity in the steel...- D Sanders

why am i so addicted to revolvers ?

Richland arms
Does anyone know who actully manufactured the spiller and burr revolver with richland arms stamping on the barrel. I can find no information on this particular cap and ball revolver by this company. I own one and it could use a new set of nipples. -

Barrel harmonics
Hello all, This may sound like a dumb question for us ml'ers since some of those unmentionable guns have those fancy adjustable gizmos on the muzzles to control harmonics. Has anyone tried to experiment with the way a muzzleloading barrel fits in the stock? Would it be to a shooters advantage...- D Sanders

hex nipple wrench
If they are the same as a ROA, they are 3/16". Try a small 1/4" drive ratchet with a 3/16 socket.. Be careful, don't over tighten them. The hex may strip off.- D Sanders

Over size cylinder bolt
I have a Pietta 1858 new army that has a slight chamber to bore alignment issue. I need an over sized or slightly wider cylinder bolt to re fit and line up closer. I would like to try to fix this problem if only to see if I can do it myself. It shoots OK but not great. Does anyone know where I...
