I got started shooting muzzle loaders as a youngster. My father bought me a .45 cal repro Kentucky rifle that I learned to shoot. I then graduated to a .54 cal.T/C Renegade. I began to get interested in the Hawken style half stock rifles. The early 18 hundreds mountain man became my hero. I think I was born about 200 years too late. My Motto is, "I like big guns, big bullets and lots of smoke". I love deer hunting with my home built .54 cal. Hawken. Hunt with a PRB and you will find out what muzzleloader hunting is really like.
