    Sharps failures. Suggestions?

What does the flash hole in your nipple look like? Here is an example of mine - on the left is the one that came with the gun, on the right is the replacement from TOW - with the left - many misfires, with the right - no misfires.

    What is this screw?

I know what that screw is for - the other one is a mystery - it's against the bow in the trigger guard - on the right behind the rear trigger.

    What is this screw?

Dixie TN Mt Rifle - does anyone know what this screw is for? The one behind the rear trigger.

    Miroku tack driver

Made an impulse buy from a forum member a couple of days ago, .50 cal Dixie Tenn Mt Rifle - took it to the range today and to say I was surprised is an understatement. Loaded up 40 gr of FFF, a .490 ball and the first shot went dead center exactly where I was aiming. That was cool for a new gun...

    What do I have here?

My apologies for posting these here - wasn't thinking about the time frame of the guns. Saw an old post about a set and Zonie yanked it and scolded everyone. Guess we're a little bit more relaxed than we used to be.

    What do I have here?

Thanks for all the info - had no clue as to what they were. I shoot bp recreationally and would probably never compete with these but they're likely to end up in a relative's hand and into the nearest pawn shop before long. He's set no value on them and is planning on taking them to a local...

    What do I have here?

The pegs are the handle for the false muzzles - strings are there to keep them from falling. You can see the false muzzle a bit more clearly in this pic.

    What do I have here?

I'm going to assume they're .50 cal. Yes the screw in the back turns out revealing a short chamber and access to a slotted breech plug. No markings anywhere other than one of the sight bases.

    What do I have here?

An old friend has had these two pistols in his collection for a number of years, took them on a trade one day, and is now letting things go (age catching up). He has no interest in bp guns (never did) and has never fired either piece but they've obviously been used by someone in the past and...

    Proper rear sight

Recently bought a late Lancaster style flint rifle from another member that has a peep sight rather than a standard rear sight. I can't use the peep in local club shoots and need to find and install a replacement. The dovetail is there but there's a blank that will probably have to be hammered...

Where did the kit come from?

Thanks for the replies, believe I found it, late Lancaster from Pecatonica.

Where did the kit come from?

Sent him a note a month ago, no reply - hasn't been seen here since the 14th. Siler lock, Davis triggers, Colerain bbl. 32 cal.
