    @pacanis, thank you, it was offhand. And a big thanks for catching the front sight orientation. A local shooting friend pointed out the rear sight installation, I had that one wrong as well. As stated, first kit assembly.

    Finally finished assembly of Lyman Great Plains pistol kit I bought last year from a forum member. 3 coats of Tru-Oil on stock and 5 coats of LMF barrel browning solution on metal. First time with a kit, kind of a fun process. Shoots pretty good at 25 feet. I need to get out to 50ft or so.

    Smoked Sun 2023-05-17

    The smoke from wildfires in Alberta drifted to south western Ohio, sunrise was not as dramatic as Neil's photo but visible smokiness.

    Bride and I are heading out on anniversary trip (40) heading to Gettysburg for a few days mid-end of April. Are there any good BP shops near Gettysburg or heading west from there (can re-route PA, VA, WV ) ? Info appreciated since we're really on no time schedule. Joe
