I reside in Acworth, GA. My involvement with Black Powder began in 1986 when I made an impulse purchase of a CVA Colt Army kit at the local Service Merchandise store in Doraville, Ga. Fitting and staining that kit gun was NOT a labor of love and it showed. I began to wonder what I had got myself into until I shot it for the first time. I could not get enough of the smoke, odor, dirt. The allure became a near obsession, my collection grew, I educated myself more about the guns, loads, FF vs FFF, et cetera. Over thirty years later, I still have a good time with it. Life Member of the NMLRA.
