    TC Pennsylvania Hunter giving FITS

Years ago, I had one of these rifles. The rest of my rifles had set triggers, so as far as trigger pull, I was spoiled. When I took it out shooting, it seemed all over. Other TC rifles and a pistol had been accurate for me. What I discovered was the lock was of course made for set triggers...

    Guns of Lonesome Dove?

I finally got to watch my Bluray DVD and it appears to be a 1860 Colt. Anyhow there was another gun switch, when Gus leaves the ravine and is using a rifle for a crutch.

    Guns of Lonesome Dove?

Did you notice what pistol Gus used when they hit Blue Duck's camp in the dark? A hint: It wasn't the Walker.

    1860 colt 44 short barrel

    Cabela'sBlue Ridge Ramrod

When I got my Blue Ridge, I noticed the grain on the ramrod pretty quick and could see how it was cross grained. Having had the fun of breaking one like this, I decided to replace it. After hunting long and hard, trying to avoid the fiberglass rod, I found a Super-Rod nylon type for sale at...

Hey David, are you still doing the Native American thing? I ended up coming back to muzzleloading recently. Good to see you are still around. Ray

    Rethinking Horn Engrailment

I guess I'll have to show my ignorance again, so here goes, what is engrailment? Does someone have a picture of this? I looked the word up, and it had to do with edges of coins, no mention of powder horns.

    Drilling holes through wood

I have a real basic question. I am drilling holes through a piece of maple, similar to a loading block. The problem I am having is the wood tearing between the holes as the drill goes through the wood. I guess I should have paid attention in shop class. I was able to eliminate most of the...

    Chopping down a Bess.

Perhaps the widow would be selling the gun for what her husband told her it cost.

    Pedersoli blue ridge

I got a replacement unbreakable ramrod from Log Cabin for my .45 caliber. I also got the replacement springs from TOW. They looked pretty good, but now I need a mainspring vise.

    Blueridge lock

Pictures would sure help, I took a look at mine also, and it was centered. ???

    Pedersoli blue ridge

I just got a Blue Ridge and ordered the springs from TOW. It's no big thing, I'm in CAS and used to ordering parts such as springs. I wish they had a frizzen spring, VTI wants $34 for the brand spring. ( made on a gold machine or something).

    Traditions Shenandoah Rifle

I just went through this process. I was looking at either a .32 or a .36 for small game. I finally decided on a Tradition's Crockett rifle from Midsouth for $359. It is a .32, but it was right on at 25 yards when it arrived. I liked the stock better, since I need a lot of drop due to a big...

    Blue Ridge Rifles

Who knows, it was near the .58 caliber Harper's Ferry. The rifle arrived today, the UPS driver looked concerned with the welcome. Unpacking it, I was amazed that nothing was damaged. The outer box showed no damage, but whoever packed the rifle box, buckled it twice. The styrafoam was...

    Blue Ridge Rifles

I guess holding that one at the Lewis & Clark exhibit did me in. Sunday, I ordered a Blue Ridge Flinter in .45 caliber. The gun was on sale and I had a coupon for $30 and $14 in points, so I ended up with the rifle and mould for $503. I know there will be things to do to it, so in the end...
