    PTSD

I'm up in Sonoma County. Monterey area is nice too. Just a 25 minute drive to launch in Bodega Bay. In same house for 33 years since the boss started running my life. But I wouldn't trade her, no siree.

    PTSD

I'm co-miserating with you here in Northern Kalifornia. The boss and I were born here and have no plans on leaving, I'm too old to pull up roots anyways. I've picked up brass ball for my sidelock that I'll use when the season starts. They shoot decent enough for 75 yards and that's about as...

what to use instead of lead balls

If fish and foul doubts your ammo is lead free they take a sample and have it tested. Re: How will wildlife officers check for compliance? All ammunition in a hunter’s possession may be inspected by wildlife officers. In some cases, if a wildlife officer suspects a hunter is in possession of...

what to use instead of lead balls

I finally sourced .492-3 brass ball. Had it manufactured as it is not a common size. 3 weeks from order to delivered and kinda expensive so don't tell the wife. Works with a .010 pillow ticking patch in the T/C Hawken, Trad Hawken and CVA unmentionable, no way with .018 patch though. I'll have...

    California

Born in Fort Bragg, grew up in Santa Rosa, bought land in Siskiyou County to retire on but wife says she won't live there so here I be in Santa Rosa. Used to hunt Pillsbury and Covelo area, ran packhorses in the Marble mountains and Warner wilderness when young. Now mostly shoot MZ at the cabin...

    Range box examples

A lot of nice boxes here. I use a MTM MZ box for the necessities/tools that work with all the guns and have a separate bag for each gun. The MTM is stuffed with cleaning cloths to fill it keeping things from moving around. I thought about a tackle box but if it went a$$ over teakettle in the...

    Leather softener

Rubbing alcohol and vaseline. Works to bring leather back after sitting and drying for years, we use it on antique basketballs and footballs. Takes a bit, but softens the leather back to its original softness.

    Elk Tag

We're still trying to decide. My hunting partner is going to New Zealand in early Dec, so we have to work out a hunt that gives him plenty of time. Maybe 200, 235, or 251. We're meat hunters so............

    Travelers Swiss question

Blackpowder77, FedEx would charge me $64 HazMat plus freight and surcharges. So you are being more than fair in my opinion.
