    30 has been my standard load and is speedy. have shot 20 with no great loss of accuracy out to 70yds and shot 15gr last weekend on a trail walk hitting 2-3 inch targets out to 25yds.

    Formerly from Madras, I used to make stuff using Juniper. nice figure and tough...if you can get a good enough chunk to mill down to dimension when dry. Love that beaver loading block!

    hells ya! it might be older and an off name, but is the predessor of the early cva rifle. As mentioned, they typically shoot rather well!

    Outside of wheel gun/cap&ball guns, I have seen (and shot one)the traditions line of front stuffers in the Trapper and Wm.Parker models in .45 They are sold in the european markets and not in the US.     'nother casting question

    Likewise with both of mine. one likes about 6 1/2 and the other is at 6 3/4ish. The scale is merely a reference. Your results out of the molds will dictate more or less heat!

    Need Help Finding Pistol Range Rod and Stand

    range rod.... I have several.... a few with billiard balls for the handle and my favorites use an old metal door knob. I use a 3/8 oak dowel and fit a rod end on it.works for me and my compadres!

    GM .40 cal RB Barrel

    I shouldered a 38 and bought the 32 inch, put it on a hawken stock, never looked back, have yet to be disappointed and certainly one of the wisest firearm related purchases I have ever made! 38 inches of steel in a 40 bore is a lot of weight out front, shooting off hand.

    Dovetail size??

    If I recall, 3/8 inch is too large and mine is .360 (cva MT Rifle.) I seem to recall Dixie gun works detailing this in their catalog, hence the .360 I mentioned. I have seen several sights listed in catalogs as well with the same designation
