Youtube - Gun building videos being removed

We live in a time of very complex issues concerning the boundaries of firearms ownership and firearms promotion. Complex issues never have simple answers. There are conscientious individuals who try to understand both sides of these issues. Labeling them as part of a " Leftest delagation" or...

    Flintlock Scope?

This kind of event is not uncommon in human physiology. At times, one's digestive track will violently reject a foreign substance after swallowing. Likewise, the body tends to reject foreign organs after transplant. The muzzleloader was just trying to protect itself.........lol

    Euro Arms 1803 Harpers Ferry

I agree with everyone who says NIB/ $400 is a great deal for one of these. I have one and fill a tag in late PA flintlock season every year with it. They are accurate and dependable. I had my lock tuned, the frizzen hardened and its spring strengthened by a fellow from NH, Earl Kathan, years...

Golcher plate with Thompson barrel percussion rifle

In the opening post, with the first set of pictures, picture #7 and #8 show the barrel has a fanciful engraving of what looks like " P Thompson" . I think the post title may mislead some to think about a Thompson Center barrel. I don't believe this is the case here. Like Notchy Bob says, it...

Golcher plate with Thompson barrel percussion rifle

Ok, unless my eyes are deceiving me, I see an octagon barrel( 8 sides) and what "appears" to be a 7 sided bore. I say "appears" because I think there are 7 grooves( rifling) that makes the round bore -it actually has- look that way. I sure ain't no expert on old guns, but that's what I am...
