Definitely looks to be well made.
Most likely it won't line up perfectly. If your vent liner is 1/4-28, you will have to drill and tap it to 5/16-24 for the drum and it is better...
And I would think that it is probably in one of the least stressful areas of the stock.
I see you just bought "Rebel's" 54 GPR. Good choice, I think you will like it.
That is the best part of hunting this way. You don't have to kill anything to still have a good time in the woods.

For deer, anywhere from 60 to 100gr would work good. Just use the one that produces the best accuracy in that range.
I have bought 4 Lyman GPR's with in the last 3 years. Two were kits and two were factory finished. One of the barrels on the factory finished guns...
