    Caywood Guns Contact Help

Hi folks. I'm at a loss as to what I should do, so I thought I would ask here as a start point. I sent my Pedersoli Brown Bess barrel to Danny Caywood to be jug choked back in August of this year. He sent the barrel back to me but it never arrived. I notified Danny I had not received the...

    12 Gauge questions

I was able to use some Balistol to remove the majority of the paint! I had to use a scalpel to remove some small specks that had adhered to the wood/where the finish hadn’t penetrated the wood completely I was able to bust some clays in the yard this evening with my youngest daughter. Fun times!

    12 Gauge questions

Thanks for everyone’s feedback! My shotgun arrived today and man it is awesome! The fit/finish is fantastic! It seems to shoot well with both 2F and 3F. I think 3F works the best ( it have only fired around a dozen shots). The barrels are cylinder choked (right side) and modified choked...

    12 Gauge questions

Trigger, most owners (who have take the time to post about/review their guns) claim the barrels are choked modified and full (no screw in chokes). I hope mine comes with one barrel choked full as I want to turkey hunt with it.

    12 Gauge questions

Hello folks! I’m thinking about buying a Pedersoli 12 gauge caplock shotgun. I’m curious as to what size shot cards and wads I should buy? Looking at reviews/comments on Midway, it appears that some folks recommend 14 gauge shot cards. I have a brown bess and am somewhat familiar with...

    Brown Bess Trigger Job (?)

I do wish there is a gunsmith who could do all this work for those of us not mechanically inclined :) My Bess is capable of stacking .735 balls on top of each other at 50 yards (using a home made rear sight) and fired from a rest). With that said, the trigger is horrendous. The heavy...
