    Peep sights

Apparently Williams is no longer manufacturing their Hawken Target sight. Of course T/C no longer is in production of their peep sight. Any suggestions as to where to find either or perhaps an alternative?

    Barrel rebore

Has anyone ever rebored a TC barrel for a fast twist? Say 1:20”? Who does that sort of work? It seems Green Mountain no longer offers the drop in barrel.

Curlys .72 caliber north west trade gun

My old Curley 12 didn't come alive accuracy wise until I hit 90 grains of FF GOEX. My best accuracy was with 110 grains a patched .715 round ball. at that load level it was brutal.

Curlys .72 caliber north west trade gun

I once owned a 12 Bore NWTG made with Curley's parts. I was built by a rather well-known Gunsmith from Washington state. Beautiful firearm. It beat the living hell out of me. I parted with it a few years past, but it is one of those I wish I'd hung onto.

Much like the original Leman rifles where done. Somebody buy this one or I’ll be tempted.

    20 Gauge Plastic Wads?

Curious, those who report melting in the bore, how did you load them? I’ve used plastic wads for tighter Turkey loads with no issues. I cut the cushion wad off leaving just the **** cup. I load this over an over powder wad followed by a fiber wad, heavily lubed, then the plastic cup.

    Deer Hunting

I’ve taken a couple of Illinois whitetail with my Jack Garner smoothbore. Twenty gauge using a .600 round ball and .015 ticking pushed by 80 grains a FFF. I’ve even chased elk with it in Colorado though unsuccessfully.

Any idea who the builder was?

Range report with 777, Pyrodex P and Goex fffg

Not a fan of the substitutes. They simply don’t perform in flint locks which is all I shoot. I was impressed by the velocities the OP got with 777. What about pressures?

    SOLD Flintlock English Sporting Rifle

The barrel is a custom Getz with a pristine bore. I’ll try to get a picture to send you. I’ve never measured the trigger pull on it. It is a single trigger not double set but it is smooth and crisp. Perfect for a hunting rifle.
