    I only use T7 FF in my cap lock never had any fouling problems but I don't shoot a lot of round ball just Maxi Mini and conical in 36cal Bullet 128 FF 30gr and 54cal Bullet 425 FF 80gr shoots awesome.

    Does anyone have a mold for the Hornady Great Plains Bullet in 54cal or someone makes one close to the Hornady I have some 54cal molds that are hollow base but not hollow point and hollow base My Lyman Great Plains Hunter loves them but I cast my own and I shot Maxiballs.

    So this not a question about peep sight but my question once you put on the peep sight and take off the buck horn sight what do you use to fill the Buck horn dove tail grove in the barrel ?

    How many use a .50cal for elk?

    I have 54 cal Lyman GPR and GPH I don't remember why I went with the 54cal but like someone said earlier it's all about shot placement 50 cal will work just fine.

    Very true says the folks who don't shoot them, and I don't carry if they like or not I shoot Lyman and Traditions and I shoot 777 powder in my percussion guns.

    Bigpete your right there! but you could be killed in a car crash or by some crazy person I'll take may chances in the woods. I have photographed a bunch of Grizzly bears and they know they are bad asses be smart and respect them.
