Original British Brunswick P-1841 type Early Model Officer Musket - Untouched Condition (Smoothbore)

Used walnut sanding dust and thin Starbond to fill the wrist crack. Really solid now. No flex. Worked to smooth it out. Then wiped some Old English scratch remover on to see what that would do.

    Confederate Revolvers

If you look at Texas history you will see that Sam Houston, governor at the time, was against seceding from the union and was subsequently forced from office. You can also note that Stephan F Austin recruited from Switzerland and other European countries because they were anti slavery. That was...

    Confederate Revolvers

GG Kellersberger and the Col didn’t get along very well. He did report to him. The Col was the department head but my GG is the one boots on the ground responsible for construction. Also came up with the Quaker cannon ploy. He was part of the force that retook Galveston from the Federals during...

I have for years used .454 in most of mine. Based on the measurements I got using old fashioned dial calipers a .006 or .005 ring shaved from a .451 ball should be good. As it is I modified one of my .451 round ball moulds to throw a heeled round ball. Weighs 160 grains. The heel measures .433...

    Pietta 1851 .36 questions

As an oil field mechanic for nearly 50 years learned that applying pressure to tighten, tap screwdriver then apply pressure to loosen and tap will many times break the rust or carbon crust that has the fastener locked down. Glad you persevered.

    Howdy fromTexas

Welcome from a fellow Texan as well. If you’re near North Texas there are good folks who shoot near Decatur and also the Red River Renegades in Electra. When I lived south of Houston I shot with the Greenwood folks, range located at Brazoria. TMLRA shoots at Brady about 4 times a year.
