    Being as I have nothing to compare it to, it's great. Although the plastic sights were less than impressive. I have since made a new brass front blade and steel rear sights for it. But I get decent groups with it and that's with making all my own components.

    Messed around learning to cast RBs. Consistent Temps were a bit tricky outside on a homemade charcoal forge in the snow, but I think we did ok.

    Thanks for all the replies. We live an off grid homestead life, and try to make as much as we can ourselves. Hunting, leatherwork, blacksmithing, sewing etc. The pioneer life attracted us a while back and will never go back.

    I use an empty Winchester primer case (100) to hold the new homemade caps while I fill em.

    Hello folks,been farting around with a traditions .50 I put together for a couple years (shooting/reloading smokeless for years) started to make my own BP and cast my RBs. Hope to learn a bit and engage with like minded folks.
