    89 grains?

Hi, FWIW my 2004 Pedersoli 12g sxs measures 727 in both barrels with the left barrel measuring 706 at the muzzle i.e a true 12g with 1/2 choke in LH barrel. Mine also has 89grains and 1 1/4 oz on the action but does not specify this as a maximum load. I usually use 70+ grains 2F with 1 1/4 oz...

    58 cal enfield

Ant67, I think you misunderstood, It is legal in the UK to shoot with a shotgun at rabbits, vermin, game etc on any land where you have permission so to do - provided you have a shotgun certificate with the weapon noted on it. Rifled arms are a different kettle of fish however!! Check your local...

    Dry Firing

Hi, any one any ideas for a way to dry fire a percussion shotgun? My Revolver and rifle all say it is OK to dry fire as is, as they are coil spring driven. But my shotgun has leaf springs, and all my cartridge guns specify the use of snap caps for dry firing - I did think of a hard rubber...

    Nipple repairs

nipple is for #11 cap. Thread is definitely not 9/32 x 26 as thread mikes up as 249 thou OD - tho' I do have 9/32 x 26 taps and dies, so maybe that is the answer.

    Nipple repairs

Hi, I have an 1850 vintage 10g smoothbore, and the original nipple is knackered (i.e no good). The thread is 1/4BSF 26 tpi. I cannot find a nipple with this thread, so use a pedersoli nipple threaded 1/4 UNF 28 tpi. This fits (almost) but eventually the thread in the breech will give out. So...

    Pedersoli 12Ga

Hi, I have recently aquired a Pedersoli 12Ga side by side. Although date stamped 2004, it appears to be in as new condition and unfired, or it has been fired very little. I have two questions: 1: Do these guns have removeable breech plugs? The hooks and breech area surrounding the hooks are...
