    What was your first Muzzleloader?

An Armsport 45 cal Kentucky Flintlock kit. In 1978 for $99.00 so could hunt in PA after Christmas season. The lock broke beyond repair, so bought a 54cal. T/C renegade flintlock. I sold the Armsport barrel and hardware to a fellow who built his own rifle. From my parts and some he had.

I am thinking of buying a Dixie Gunworks 45cal. Scout Rifle kit. However I can find no pictures of left side of gun. Does it have a cheekpiece? Anybody that has one of these rifles, if you could post a pic of left side of rifle or tell me does it have a cheek piece on stock. Thanks

    First Shot Throwing Wild?

I have used bore butter for years, no problems. As far as wild first shot, I have never had that. Before I scrap the bore butter I would have somebody else try the first shot. Maybe it's not the lube on the patch! And really Windex for patch lube!! Just what I want to do put chemicals in to the...

Why is this 32 crockett so difficult to clean?

That is a dumb thing to do, wrap steel wool abrasive around a worm and twirl it in the bore with a electric drill!! You could seriously damage rifling at least knock corners off, there for ruining your investment and accuracy. Why not either take to a gunsmith that has a bore scope. Or contact...

    What was your first Muzzleloader?

Mine was an Armsport 45cal Kentucky kit Rifle that I bought in 1978 with Christmas bonus. It was $ 99.95 plus tax, lock was manure and after a couple of years completely fell apart. Bought it for PA muzzleloader season!
