Bought my first muzzle loader in 1977 at a gun show in Lansing Michigan. I still have it, here in Alaska. I have taken white tailed deer, black bear and snow shoe hare with it. This rifle is still in great shape and shoots a round ball or maxi ball well. It is a TC Hawken gun in 50 caliber. I also like everything mountain man and American history pre-1860. Obviously there have been other wonderful occurances after.
