    Cold steel pipe hawk

I like to use an apple cider rub and then cherry lump charcoal over low heat until it’s tender… j/k…😊 it’s not really a pipe that’s just what the company calls them it could be drilled out and made into a real pipe, but I didn’t.

    Cold steel pipe hawk

I cut two discs of 16 ga scrap brass, filed them to match the top and bottom shape, and cut the designs in. Then I drilled and counter-sunk the holes tacked them on and polished a little with wet/ dry sand paper.

    Cold steel pipe hawk

I believe Amazon I was given it by someone else. Cold steel is a pretty common brand at several retailers they come hafted and are decent quality but need a bit of work to look good. This is how they look out of the box:

    Cold steel pipe hawk

I was inspired by some of the cold steel transformations I had seen so here is mine. I cut down the handle to my taste, stripped the paint, blued and scrubbed it back, used it as a test piece for a batch of stain I’m playing with and added two brass end caps.

    Southern Mountain Rifle Sketchbook

I apologize if this is the wrong sub for this question. My copy of “The Southern Mountain Rifle Sketchbook” is listed as volume 1. I have never seen another volume. Has anyone seen a volume 2 I’m just not aware of?

Which story is most movie worthy?

I’d be interested in a movie about Anne Bailey. Was at the battle of Point Pleasant, Patrolled the frontier during the American Revolution, made a 100 mile ride through the frontier to bring powder and ammunition to a fort in danger.
