    Modifications required for conicals?

If you are using loose powder you don't need to do anything. The colts will be tight but they fit. Size the heels of your lee bullets before you go shooting, remove your cylinder, and push the heels of your Lee bullets in a chamber so they will go in the chambers freely. Just the heels, not the...

Will a claw hammer work as a makeshift "wedge puller?"

I made this wedge drift out of some scrap 1/4 inch brass rod. I just draw filed it to shape it and knurled the shank with a wood rasps it might be a good tool to keep in your bag.

    Newbie questions about rust/corrosion

I have been using Goop and GoJo waterless hand cleaner without pumice to clean my cap and ball revolvers. The hand cleaner melts black powder/Pyrodex fouling I just brush it in and wipe it off and it leaves it lightly oiled. Places like the chambers I pack with paper towels it wicks up 95 % of...

Neat Tools by Bruce Waugh (Nipple Plate and Socket Wrench)

I have been making nipple wrenches out of sockets for the last 15 years. They are so much better than the ones you buy. They sell rachet type nipple wrenches but they are not very user friendly. I use deep sockets for use on rachets. I like nut-driver handles better. If you have a nipple pick...

Will a claw hammer work as a makeshift "wedge puller?"

I am a connoisseur of wedge wackers. The little claw hammer is out of my wifes craft box it has a removable plastic cap and a screwdriver set in the handle. I think it would suit your needs. I would get a small piece of 1/8 inch aluminum plate to protect the stock when prying on the wedge. The...

Those are all good you tubers they won't steer you wrong. I have been using nipple wrenches I made from sockets for twenty years. They work better than any store-bought nipple wrenches I have used. I have some on 1/4 socket wrench, a nut driver if you use a Craftsmen socket you can use a 4mm...
