    Sounds like you might have a defective mould, do they seem to shoot ok in spite of that? My mould lines up ok but I take pains to make sure it closes all the way. I shut it twice befor pouring the lead.

I got 3 that weighed 257gr,44 weighing 256gr, 23 weighing 254gr, 30 weighing 255gr, and 3 culls that I didn't through back in the pot.     The 250graines wont kick as hard as the 320's and may stabelise in slower twist barrels. But you never know till you try them. :wink:

    One of the main things I like about the 250 reals is that their not so much heavyer then the 170gr round ball that they add much recoil. The 320 reals,370 maxies, etc. will give you a sore sholder in a hurry at the bench. Also I'm assuming slow twists will stablize the shorter 250 better.

    By now I have forgoten but I think I did use the felt wad under the 250 Reals in the 100yd group. I think my main problem is poor quality control in casting. Sure is fun though hunting for that magic load. :wink:

    IMHO it is. Accuracy being the most important thing. That being said in case of a marginal hit, yes they do happen. 70 or 80 would be good insurance. Have you tried them to see if they are accurate also?
