PA early season October 15th -22nd

Mostly for the inliners but you can bet I'll be taking my flinter for a walk. I have a doe tag for 4D that needs fillin'. Any other PA muzzleloader guys hitting early season?

I thought that PA only allowed flintlocks?

Not during the Early Season, you can use flintlock, percussion, and inlines, antlerless deer only. We have a Flintlock Only Season after Christmas.

I hunt in 5C, 4C, and 3A... mostly archery... but flintlocks during any firearms season.

If I hunt early, it is for small game, with my 24 ga smoothie. I like to drive the wardens nuts. They always want to know why I don't have a doe tag. And are certain I am hunting illegally..

This Saturdays' out... Have a hockey game to coach in the morning and a college game to Ref in the evening... just no time available. I'm starting a new job Monday, working til 5pm or so. I might be able to get out for last light this week as I can be at my gun club within about 10 minutes of leaving work.... now if the weather cooperates.... Maybe make it out mid afternoon on the last day.. gotta wait & see how things fall out.

rsieber you may want to check out your posted dates for early muzzleloader in Oct. 15-22. According to my book it is Oct.17-24. Please correct if I am wrong. Don't want to see any violations. Have fun hunting my friends!
