here's my dumb question du jour ... what size caps do these cap making gadgets make? #10 or #11, and can you adjust the size?

I've been tinkering with the one from 22Shooter or whatever his name is, the Prime All kit he sells. I must admit I'm impressed with his compound. I tend to go a bit heavy in the homemade #11 caps I'm tossing together, and there's no question in my mind that the Prime all Mixture will light off BP even better then CCI #11 caps. I think I know the majority of what the chemical ingredients in his compound are, the main one being Potassium Chlorate. I don't know how hard it is in today's world of paranoia to get these chemicals... my intent solely be to make #11 caps and primers, but I guess I will try to order some of them and find out.

The #11 Percussion cap maker is not fancy, and the caps appear a little crude out of Aluminum can material but it does seem to do what it's intended to do. My girlfriend ordered some hobby lobby thin strips of Copper and I'm curious to see if the softer metal makes a more aesthetic looking cap. My current homemade caps would be fine on a sidelock, but using those in a revolver would just be asking for jams and issues.

I thought the same thing with copper. I think it would form better than aluminum.

The Prime All mixture is correct and all you need. Just mix and use as directed.

Been using them in revolvers without problems. I don't think how purrty they look is a real deal breaker.
