I just cut open a box from Midway.
It had the Hornady balls I ordered last week when they were on sale and I bought another powder measure. The long thin brass kind with the twist nozzle on the end.
I then put Loctite on the brass discs. The one on the inside of the measure was loose to begin with. The knurled knob was laying in the bag.

They should send them both loose so folks know to secure the one on the inside of the measure.

Thought I would take the Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifle out to "recycle" a one quart cream carton, but "Jonny" did not feel like shooting today (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it), so I put 'im aside for another day... after firing several shots. Next went for my ol' standby; T/C Hawken .45 with a .40 caliber bullet in a... um... "wooden shoe". Target was subsequently "sploded" for the camera.

Later on I am hoping for my Tandy Leather order to come in so I can sorta re-do my possibles bag. Didn't really care for the goat skin laces, and am hoping that the kangaroo hide ones will be more better. Yeah, decided to degrade my grammar today. ;)

Just finished rendering down beef tallow!

I put together a .50 cal micro range box.
I hope to get out Wednesday (weather looks nice) and shoot my KY pistol some more and my new Traditions Tennessee.
Showers in Lancaster county Wednesday, but warmer. During basic SSG Bailey asked me if I had ever been wet before? Yes? Did you get dry again? Yes? Quit complaining then.

Barrel assembled and breech plug pinned.

Dados cut for barrel and bi-pod adapter. Cut stock nose detail.

Maple breech/stock extension.

Still kicking around how to secure the breech end to the stock. Looks like there's a way to drill and tap into the breech plug from the bottom since there's no ramrod channel being cut.

Love the opening and closing sequence using the opening and closing of the door, Dale. It adds to the dramatics! Love it 😄👍.

Posted this earlier on the wrong forum. 😆 took my hopkins and allen half stock 45 out to shoot. Darned milk jugs. Anyhow the barrel is 32 inches and I don't think is original to the stock. No markings anywhere. A sweet little rifle that handles great. Just nice to get out and enjoy! The little horn I use for caps. The little knife I put together from an antler I found in a creek bed

Thanks, I'll remember that. Come summer, I just might do more extensive videos... loading the guns, cleaning the guns, shooting the guns, etc. Might also do some blacksmithing videos. For me, McGyvering something I need from what I have on hand is no big deal, I do it all the time, but some folks can't do things like that for some reason. Could even get some actual hunting videos, but I gotta rig a tripod adapter for a Kindle Fire 8. Shouldn't be too much trouble.
