I've been lurking for a while and decided it was time to join.

I've been muzzleloading off and on since my dad got me interested in the '70s. I've always shot caplocks, but I have a strong pull towards getting a flintlock soon. After that will come my introduction to casting because I will hunt with it (in lead free CA).

Welcome to the board. I was in Mojave (the town) for about 5 years working in the "aerospace industry" before moving to Redding for a real job. At least you don't have to go out of your way there to find a place to shot.

Mojave (the town) is about an hour SW from here. Mojave (the desert) is in all directions. Definitely no shortage of places to shoot.
