Here are some pics of my Jim Chambers PA Fowler I just finished up. I started this build in June of 2021 after I picked up my Kit from Jim and Barbie at the NMLRA nationals in Friendship IN. It has been a great experience and I have learned so many new skills during this project. I owe a lot to my friend and mentor Jeff Talbert. I visited his shop on many occasions where he taught me everything from inletting to carving. Dave Person has also been a great resource with his extensive knowledge of these early smoothbore fowlers.

I have included a link to my "build along" thread at the bottom.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Jim Chambers PA Fowler:
20g/.62 caliber
Maple
7lbs
Finished with two coats of Iron Nitrate, one coat of Laurel Mountain Forge Honey Maple, Jim Chambers gunstock oil.
The iron has been French Greyed with Jax Brass Black.

I made this powder horn for this gun. The bag was made by Dennis Massie.

That is sure a beautiful gun. You did an outstanding job.
I love the "French grey" finish and will be curious how it holds up over time and use. I tried to get a "French grey" finish using Birchwood Casey "Super Blue" paste, many coats, then rubbed back. It wears off too easily. Please report back and let us know how your finish is holding up.

Thank you @Brokennock. I agree that the french grey doesn't hold up or really protect the metal. I plan to give it a coat of Renaissance wax to help protect it.
