For y'all that are farther north, it's like St. Patrick's Day, but with cerveza con sal and tacos!
And don't forget guacamole!
And don't forget guacamole!
Cinco de Mayo is very much celebrated here in Texas, probably more so than Mexico. General Ignacio Zaragoza's statue is in Goliad, his birthplace.
Yeah, your voice to Gods ear. Unfortunately SJWsFunny how the US as a whole does not celebrate Easter, and Christmas has lost its meaning decades ago.
Yet being Irish or Mexican for a day, is great for drinking, yet NO culture appropriation
Wow me too! Ireland, Scotland, English, Welsh on my dad’s side. Polish, Georgian on my mother’s side. My Grandfather who I knew German heritage, rather than Polish.I never did understand cultural appropriation.
I like driving my Cherokee. I respect the people of the same name, and mean no disrespect to them, but it seems that's not enough. I would be proud if a car was introduced that was called the Shillelagh, or the Tipperary, or the Celtic - I wouldn't be offended.
So I guess I can only portray people from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Poland, because that's my heritage?
Things have gotten so screwed up...
It is kind of strange in a way ,celebrating a battle. Are any other battles or their outcomes celebrated?
