Many popular forums do not allow comments, only questions pertaining to the item being offered. Allowing unlimited comments seems to result in fewer listings (as already stated above.)

Not supposed to be allowed here either. Strong argument for allowing sellers to delete extraneous comments not pertaining to the sale.

I wonder if its possible to completely turn off ability to make ANY comments and only allow PMs. May lighten load on Mods so they can concentrate on scammers. Even our discussing this issue here has degraded the poor OP's post for which we should all apologize.

Nice rifle- looks good for Hunting and I guess I’m not Experienced enough At Ridiculing to post negative in add.
What happened to “Say something nice or nothing at all”.

well said! on a side note I’ve taken to using the ignore button when folks show that kind of character. Saves from doing business with them in the future.

I agree with Nameless Hunter. I posted an ad here for an antique shotgun and some clown had to badmouth it and brag about all the similar guns he had. I'll still buy here but I won't sell on this site.

A positive comment or something small asked and helpful to the Add could be stated, No harm.

Yet there are some that Continuously post in the for sale adds and clutter adds with negative post… Often.

I think we all have posted enough here in “This” add- and should refrain from any further.

My apologies to The Op member for this Irrelevant post in his add.

One local gun site I’m a member of only allows the seller to respond to their for sale ads. If you have a question or simply want to buy the item you pm the seller. Keeps the ads from getting cluttered with unrelated comments.
