Sure is if you need it and maybe before the next election you will look back with fond memory's on the great price back when it was legal to purchase /just sayin get it while you can /I am Ed
Graf and Sons has Schuetzen in stock for $ 23.29 a pound. If you bought 5 pounds, plus shipping and hazmat fee, it's still less than $ 31.00 per pound.

Hanshi, I just got one of those and haven't even had it out yet.. Planned to shoot Sunday, but COLD, wind and snow blew in and I had to settle for a good meal and a cold beer with friends. Every single one of them and my wife and I have all had covid... It really gets around. Tripple shot and a mild case for me. Glad to get back on this forum and see you here too.

GAHUNTER60, if I was faced with those prices I'd probably shift to a crossbow.
They are a local shop, only shop in georgia that carries real black. 4 generations and been open over 40 years. Specialize in bp related gear. Need a raw horn to make a powder horn out of? Need a powder measure? Need a possibles bag? How about a traditional firearm. How about roundball? lead? Cap and ball, cappers, knife blanks? Support the only local shop like this in georgia. Thank you GAHUNTER60 for supporting them. They are good folks, feeding 3 households and trying to make a living to survive.

I recently ordered two pounds of Schuetzen FFFg from Powder Valley. Total cost with shipping, hazmat and tax was $76. I would prefer to support a local business, but I have not found one that sells real black powder.

The inflation rate hit 7.5% in January (4.7% in 2021) and is expected to climb. Gas prices were predicted to drop below $3/gal. this year but the Ukraine-Russia issue could drive gas above $5/gal. and according to one source as high as $7. If this happens we might have to eat our powder rather than shooting it. If I didn't have enough now I would consider buying over waiting for the price to drop.

Hope all the pundits are right, by November people will be fed up and the R party can clean up! They made a big mistake, the D's, by allowing Brandon to hide in his basement; he's ONE TERM only!

I was in the Army in Georgia, and always liked the state.

I just came home from Deercreek Gun Store in Marietta, GA, where I paid $50 for a pound of 1.5 f Swiss; $40 for a pound of 2f Schuetzen; and $18 for a tin or #11 percussion caps.

Oh well; it's only money!
They have always been out of line with high prices. I don’t shop there because of that. I have sold guns and horns through them on consignment and found a 30 percent fee outrageous. Sometimes they sell your merchandise and forget to let you know If it’s a cash sale.

Did I mention that I drove 53 miles --one way -- to get there?

Hasmat and shipping fees looking more like a bargain every day. I do like the idea of supporting local businesses, though (especially the only brick-and-morter shop in tne state that still carries real black powder).

If they carry real black powder they have to have a special building etc.
Get ready for prices to sky rocket on everything. True inflation rate is
over 15%. The rate the Govt puts out is without fuel and food. It is
caused by the "Greed new steal" of our marxist installed rulers.
No special building. Just a powder magazine that meets certain specifications. Basically a metal box of certain dimensions and wall thicknesses.
