At this time I have no CVA Kentucky in the stable and cann't compare lock sizes, but, the lock on the Mountain Rifle has the same shape (it's 4 1/2" long) and they sport set triggers. I would think that the problem that you would probably have is that if you could fit them to the Kentucky the factory trigger guard opening won't be big enough for the set triggers.
Trigger pull on these models can range from good to poor. If you yours is poor and you want to put some time in to improve it you should use the search feature here on the forum; I'm pretty sure that our dear departed Zonie gave a great write up on proper inletting of these single triggers for a greatly improved trigger pull/press.
