I have never had to order powder on line and after hearing your experience I am thankful. Two hour round trip to pick it up but I always try and get enough to make it worth the drive.
Yes, living 'Online' is always an 'adventure'. I used to be able to drive 1/2 hour round trip but was limited to just 1lb (each grade) per person per visit. But alas, even if I was still in that wretched state I doubt that is even so any more...
I was shocked to find that NO ONE in Nevada sells it local!? And it's a good 6+ hour drive to Idaho or a 7+ drive to Arizona....so Online it is, buy enough so you dont have to do it again for a while.

My wife has been waiting 2 weeks now for a toilet seat she ordered....

Hmm? 🤔

Not everyone on here is of an older age bracket. I’m 30 and love the sport. Frankly, the “cantankerous oldsters” that really enjoy putting down the youthes and are one reason rondys and long rifle shows are a sea of white hair. If anything, you guys failed to pass on the sport to young blood to ensure a profitable market for the manufacturers.

Just saying.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to get my sons interested, including giving them guns .... to no avail.. They like guns that go boom, boom, bo.... well, you get the picture. None of my neighbor kids have ever shown any interest. But I am still trying. I recently gave a neighbor a BP Pistol, a step son three BP rifles, my kids two BP guns... They sure look nice over the fireplace. Polecat

I’m afraid we can’t take the blame for this one. Kids nowdays seem to have little interest in anything but their various computers, and want nothing to do with anything mechanical or that carries responsibility. Teen driver applications are way down and virtually none of those in their 20s want anything to do with commercial driving. Too much responsibility. Guns are of course double whammied because of the responsibility involved and the brainwashing applied by the liberal run education system. That same system is also responsible for the sissification of all our young men/boys, providing severe punishment for exhibiting the traits of “ toxic masculinity “ A friend of mine was recently visited by his daughter, who lives quite far away, with her husband and thier10 yr old son. Living in a very rual area he has a range set up in his back yard. Thinking the kid would enjoy some target shooting, He took him out to the range. When he tried to hand the kid a rifle, the kid refused to touch it. When he became a little more instant and put the rifle in the kids hands. The kid held it for a second, then threw it on the ground, turned away and vomitted. That my friend is the reason shooting events, cruise nights, gun shows, etc are a sea of grey hair.

That seems like an extreme outlier or one of those “I know a guy” type stories that make the rounds. This is a huge generalization you’re making and when people get on these kind of forums/communities and see this manure it’s a big reason no one wants to be around this type of group. I’m new to this community and relatively young (early 30s) and 1 out of every 5 posts on here is some old fart complaining that no young people want to get into the communities and events while at the same time talking trash on those younger generations (that the old guys raised by the way) and it gets annoying to read over and over.

My granddaughter is eight and you should see her shoot long range, she helps me reload and loves to talk the talk and knows all the lingo. I am very proud of her as you can tell and yes she still loves the pretty things in life. She does not hate firearms we taught her all things should be respected and she knows that this tool requires a lot of respect.

This is why the movie "A Christmas Story" is in reality a horror film to some....but...Im just a Boomer with an opinion.....

Guys.... you just may wanna try another powder. I had a chance to use schetzen and it was not any different AT ALL Not saying abandon GOEX but until the next guys starts up and it available try another brand. Thats like saying I cant drive to work cuz the shell station I have always used is having its tanks relined and I cant buy Shell. (news blast....try Chevron). Same idea here. I posted last week or two its available at crater lake in IL. addictedtoblackpowderi.com

I even was able to order 5 lbs OE! That was last week though. $32.50 lb after all the tax n haz mat n shipping n stuff. if ya get the SWISS it will go up.

Now go shoot

Between my two daughters and their kids (my grandkids); my youngest daughter and her two daughters love to shoot, they all have their own unmentionables, however I have only had the opportunity to take them once to the firing range to shoot BP. Each had a chance to shoot rifle, pistol, and my blunderbuss and we had a Blast! Cant wait for them to visit so we can do it again (OUTSIDE of California, on open land).
However my oldest daughter is not interested at all, her oldest is (I am ashamed to say) fully indoctrinated by her public school system, the next in line appears to really love her Grandpa and if I could get her to the range I think she'll really like it, two youngest (one girl followed by an almost 1yr old boy) still too young to hold up one of my long rifles...but I'm working on it; at least their father likes guns but dont own one - I really need to get them all Out of that Los Angeles area.

But the range sure enjoyed it when three generations showed up: Grandpa, Daughter, and Granddaughters.

You know of some place people can get it?
As of last week all brands have become Out of Stock.
And with only overseas brands available now and the shipping ports jammed and backed up...
