I have a few safe queens that don’t get shot as often as they should, but recently I acquired an Ultra Hi Kentucky flintlock to go with my Ultra Hi percussion.
Both of these get shot a lot, just enjoyable shooters(and inexpensive).
The flinter looked like someone threw it together with just a coat of stain, so it was time to strip and refinish it.

Some citristrip and drying time it was ready.

A blend of fruitwood and cherry stain,
5 coats of tru oil, a couple weeks cure time and some wood wax, it turned out better than I expected.

Did I mention that this is the first stock I’ve ever refinished?
Let me know what you think.
