I just got an offer I couldn't refuse! (imagine Italian music here)

I recently bought the entire historic leather working business of an 85 year old fella with severe Parkinson's... He couldn't hold a needle anymore and was worried his 30 year leatherworking knowledge would die with him.... I apologized for cleaning him out... He responded, "No, don't apologize, you are giving me hope that my legacy will continue."

He chose me to continue this legacy when he saw my first handmade fox fur sporran AND found out that I already know how to sell hand made stuff through my already successful internet business.

He owned and ran a business named "Baggy Man Historic Restorations"

Along with all his ridiculously amazing hand made tools, 20 full premium hides, 8 boxes of various scrap leather and patterns...
In the mix was horns, hand turned rope, historic buttons, 250 year old tins, 2 antique Indian blankets...
The best part was all of his product patterns which he made a the Museum of London from actual late 18th century original bags and packs. Furthermore, he plans to spend a few days with me teaching me the details....

Guys, I used to work out of a huge tackle box on a bench while sitting on the couch... Here is my leather working shop now with his improvements!

Once everything was finally set up, I was so intimidated that I just sat there... and avoided the room for 2 days... To force myself out of the intimidation block... I am now trying out one of his double hunting bag patterns... You will see that in my new shop photos.

What I am trying to say is that I am feeling pretty darn blessed and Thankful!

Here is a video of some of his work...

And yes... I will update yall...

...

I didn't clue into the name of his business till I saw the photo with the patterns hanging on the wall. Did he make knapsacks and bags from beeswaxed hemp cloth also? I'm trying to figure out who this may have been, i.e. if it is the same person I'm thinking of. Harold Heuston AKA 'Bague Harold' hasn't been active for a couple years and we miss him. I wondered if it is the same man.
