I have been re watching Bill Raby's videos on Youtube.
Imagine my surprise when I find that ALL of Bill Raby's videos have been removed!
Youtube said that it was because they violated Youtube's Community policy which does not allow videos that show how to make firearms.
Here is an extract:

Don’t post content on YouTube if the purpose is to do one or more of the following:
  • Sell firearms or certain firearms accessories through direct sales (e.g. private sales by individuals) or links to sites that sell these items. These accessories may include:
    • Accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire,
    • Accessories that convert a firearm to automatic fire, such as: bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, or conversion kits,
    • High capacity magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds.
  • Provide instructions on manufacturing any of the following:
    • Firearms,
    • Ammunition,
    • High capacity magazines,
    • Homemade silencers/suppressors,
    • Accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire,
    • Accessories that convert a firearm to automatic fire, such as: bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, or conversion kits
  • Provide instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing capabilities.
  • Provides instructions on how to install the above-mentioned accessories or modifications.

How long till Cap & Ball, Kibler and others get brought down?

Wow, but not unexpected. Duelist’s build stuff is getting pulled too. I’ve always been afraid to do build series on my channel because of that rule but I was just about to do my first.

There are several platforms they can migrate to but none with the eyeballs of YouTube. Hopefully we can land somewhere in the end that is friendly to our interests, but I seriously doubt it will ever get any better than it is today.

Unfortunately YouTube is privately owned and has every right to make their own rules, just like this forum’s owners can and do. And this is not a new topic with YouTube. Here is one started by @duelist1954 a while back. YouTube is driving me crazy!

Except YouTube and others enjoy special; protection from lawsuits over their content as they "have no control" over what is published. So they are only doing what they are doing in the name of censorship and the leftist agenda,

So either remove the protection from lawsuits or remove the censorship.

Again, love to hear from our leftist delegation here on justifying this and taking down primitive arms videos.

Clyde, Troy, Ponderosaman, you digging on this,?

This site doesn't just remove things that would get them sued. Start a topic or make a post about inlines and watch how fast it's called out and deleted. It's really not that different at all.

Disagree.
This site openly and obviously states it is for Traditional muzzleloaders and removes other articles quickly.
Youtube does not openly state what it supports or otherwise and then allows content to sit there for years. Then it selectively removes just some contravening content.
Perhaps I should be thankful I got to enjoy the content and I am but this just sucks.

Muzzleloaders are not considered firearms by law maybe he can go that route ?

Sure do hate to find that out. I have watched Bill Raby videos a good bit, learned a lot. Hopefully he can get back on, or better yet, find another way of getting his videos out there.

That's not good at all....and extremely aggravating. I just ordered a kibler kit it will be the first muzzleloader I have ever built. I plan on watching those videos as I go along with build process. So I hope they stay up. I have also watched about 50 precent of bills videos on his mountain rifle and that being said I believe they were detailed enough for a first timer to be able to get the job done. I actually almost ordered a kit to do it but decided I better wait till after I get the kibler done. I hope he gets them back up because they were very good.
