Have one of their RPL locks for a TC revamp. Reckon it's time I get round to it. Thinking 'bout the .52 fast twist Renegade with these .519 diameter bullets.

Not real sure about removing much wood though.
Hopefully it aint much.

Would love to find out that they're OK, still up and running. I've come into a rather petite flint rifle that needs a lock.

Just called and the answering mach said open Monday thru Friday and listed normal hours, just love how this stuff gets started, kinda like playing telephone when I was a kid.

You can get your Domain back after it expires. Many Registrars hold it awhile. I know
Godaddy used to charge $80 to re-capture it but you only had a week or two to act
on it. Maybe they do not realize this? They have options. The domain has a following
and has some value.

I think someone bought them out, I saw an ad in one of the BP magazines that they were the new owners of the company and would keep up production. Can't remember who placed the ad or what magazine it was in.

That is kinda hard on a business when you "think" and don't known, you might really be hurting their business.

Spreading rumors is poor.

I personally viewed the advertisement in the publication, if that is what you consider a "rumor" I feel for you. As for hurting their business what difference does it make who you purchase one of their locks from they still get paid. Is the website being unavailable a rumor? Does the fact that I can't remember who or where make it a rumor? I used the word "think" because I couldn't remember the details.

Well, if what you are saying about being bought out is in fact what happened, then the rumor problem lands at their door. Business is business, to quote Telly Sevallis from Kelly's Heros. You don't let a website go dead without a note telling customers where to go for future purchases. An absence of information will guarantee guesses and rumors.

The fact that the website is down is evidence that something is up...Its empirical evidence that something is up because we can all go there and see the that the site is down for our selves. And sadly, thus all the rumors start as to why the website is down.

The fact that you saw an add in an unidentified as yet publication that said something vague about someone buying out L&R Locks...puts it right smack in the rumor category.

Saving Grace: Once someone finds the publication and can point us towards it, for verification...then it is no longer rumor...

So yeah, that's how fact checking rumors works.

No it does not, but it does no say much for you remembering things.

It's not what you know it's what you can prove, a quote from a member here.

Emphasis MINE. Yes, its an unverified statement. That, by definition, is a rumor.

No one is saying anything bad about you personally, no one is even implying that you are dishonest...but by definition unverified statements are rumors.

Instead of trying to defend yourself against the indefensible, find the publication and seek vindication and substantiation.

To quote you..."It's not what you know it's what you can prove, a quote from a member here." proves my point...you've made a statement with no proof, its a rumor until proven.
