Beautiful figure in the stock !
Thank you ..it was a full length 90% replacement stock for the T/C and this muzzleloader builder friend did it ..slowly...in my shop after work every night..He taught me the process...You need alot of time and patience,,to get the prizm come out with wetting/drying,,300 grit.More than busy me could handle..

The barrel was from t/c uston shop marked right on it 1/66 twist.I send a barrel back to them from a second hand gun that id bought...told them i shot compitition ...and they sent that back for the exchange free,Best company then sold out to S&W now both gone.

That's a nice looking rifle, Hunter Thompson! Anybody would be proud to have it.

I don't see a nose cap, but it actually looks better to me that way than with the T/C factory nosecap. The wood in that stock is gorgeous.

How much modification did it take to replace the factory lock?
HEY hows it going...I had a reg ffl shop and this ole guy that i worked with nights built it,,he d stay all week in a camper trailer for 20 years ,,sice he lived to far away to commute to work...So he used to come to the shop after second shift and build his guns and i had him do this gun .He wasnt a hurryer and chisled away ,,,digging out ,,,sanding with tools ..heavy bastard file that we curled upward..i guess he had 50 hours in fitting and 25 in sanding and wetting the stock and using 280 grit after dry..over n over. You could by pass alot of the work as goodnuff i guess,,but he prided himself in hanging around at night until daylight after i went to bed hours earlyer.WICKED GOOD gun fixer too from people that would stop by ..After he retired from the place we worked ,,it sucked without him around and i quit the business.I had him do a compitition pistol too...single set trigger 12 inch bbl 40 cal.tig tac,ed t/c sights on it.

That peconic river stock for t/c is a full lenth version replacement...MY gunsmith friend did it 15 years ago...he was slow and meticulous at the finish,,,wetting it after 25-40 hours sanding away then using 280 gritn or more finer..i think it all was about 80 hours,,,some drinking a beer and smoking cigerettes as it dried in a reg ffl shop i had run during the day and then after working nights we would go to my shop ,,hang out,,id do paperwork and he built muzzleloaders..HE did a 54 for himself ...2 grand wouldnt touch it,,ive tried.15 years ago the curly maple stock he used was like 250.00,,wicked hard to work...like steel...MISS HIM he retired from the union job we worked building ddg,s ,burke class as pipefitters for the navy.HE retired and i shut the shop down.BORING REG GUNS LOL.AND REG PEOPLE...LOVE the muzzleloading family..IT IS IT IS FAMILY
